Front-End Web Developer -- Design the experience that turns every room into a collaboration masterpiece

The way people experience a meeting room starts long before they walk through the door — it starts with the interface they use to plan it, configure it, and understand it. At BETTERMEETINGROOMS, we are building the platform that shapes that experience: a 3D environment where complex room data, equipment layouts, and acoustic profiles come together in a way that anyone can understand and act on. The quality of that interface is not a finishing touch. It is the product.

Job Description

Your mission is to own that quality. You will lead the design and front-end implementation of our web platform — bringing clarity to complexity, and making powerful tools feel effortless. Design thinking is not a nice-to-have here; it is the job. We are looking for someone who can move fluidly between high-level UX decisions and the finished interface, who communicates intent with precision, and who understands that in the age of AI-assisted development, the clearest thinkers produce the best outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Own the design quality — lead the design and implementation of visually compelling interfaces, drive UX decisions, define user flows and interaction patterns, and set the bar for aesthetics and usability across the platform.
  • Specify and build with precision — translate productrequirements into clear, well-specified design briefs, and implement them inclose collaboration with back-end developers and product managers, ensuring design intent is never lost in execution.
  • Keep the platform sharp — maintain and continuously improve existing web applications, participate in design and code reviews, and stay current withemerging design trends, 3D libraries, and AI-assisted development tools.
Requirements
  • Design and UX depth — a strong portfolio that showcases not just code, but thoughtful design outcomes; hands-on experience with user research,wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design.
  • Solid front-end foundation — proficiency in HTML, CSS,and JavaScript with experience in React, Angular, or Vue.js; understanding ofresponsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and version control (Git);experience with 3D libraries such as Three.js or Babylon.js.
  • Clear, precise thinking — the ability to describe and specify design problems and desired outcomes with precision, whether directing AI tools, briefingdevelopers, or writing documentation. This is a core skill here, not a softone.
  • Cross-functional collaboration — strong communication skills and a track record of working effectively with product, design, andback-end teams to deliver polished, functional outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Meeting room and collaboration fluency — you understand how rooms are used for video conferencing and hybrid work, and how physical design decisions are made. Familiarity with platforms such as Webex, Teams, orZoom is a plus.
  • AI-assisted development in practice — you actively use tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor and can demonstrate how precise problemspecification leads to better outcomes, not just faster ones.
  • ‍Spatial and full-stack awareness — background in architectural visualization, spatial design, or 3D room planning tools; knowledge of back-end technologies (Node.js, Express) is a welcome bonus.

ML / AI Engineer -- Build the intelligence that makes every room reveal itself.

Every meeting room holds a story — a precise arrangement of infrastructure, technology, and space that defines how people connect and collaborate. Today, capturing that story means manual effort, guesswork, and incomplete records. We believe it doesn’t have to. Our vision is a world where pointing a phone at a room is enough — where AI sees what a trained expert would see, identifies every meaningful element, and translates the physical world into a perfect, living digital twin. Automatically. Completely. Without compromise.

Job Description

Your mission is to build the intelligence that makes this possible. You will design and train the models that detect, classify, and spatially anchor every point of interest in a room — power outlets, network ports, AV infrastructure, and beyond — and seamlessly embed that understanding into a 3D model that becomes the authoritative record of the space. This is not incremental work. You will be defining what automated room intelligence looks like, from the ground up, at a company that is reimagining the entire meeting room lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Build and ship detection models — train custom object detection models (YOLOv8 or equivalent), optimised for iOS deployment via CoreML or TensorFlow Lite, with real-world performance as the bar.
  • Own the data pipeline — prepare, augment, and quality-control image datasets(Roboflow), define labeling standards, and explore synthetic data generation where needed.
  • Integrate into the product experience — work with our iOSand 3D design teams to embed detection into ARKit-powered apps, shaping how results are visualised and how the experience feels to the user.
Requirements
  • Proven ML/CV depth — 2+ years of applied machine learning or computer visionexperience, with hands-on proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow, OpenCV, andobject detection architectures (YOLO, SSD, Faster R-CNN or similar).
  • Mobile deployment experience — you have shipped models to real devices via CoreML or TensorFlow Lite, and understand the constraints thatcome with it.
  • Clear, precise thinking — you can articulate what you want to achieve withprecision, whether communicating with teammates, writing documentation, ordirecting AI tools. This is a core skill here, not a soft one.
  • Cross-functional collaboration — experience working with mobile app teams, a genuine curiosity about how your models affect end users,and comfort with GitHub, Colab, and async workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Meeting room and collaboration fluency — you understand how rooms are used for video conferencing and hybrid work, how physical design decisions are made, and what that means for what a detection system needs to see and capture.
  • Spatial and 3D experience — prior work with ARKit, RealityKit, or 3D scenes; and experience generating synthetic training data(e.g., Blender or game engines) to close real-world dataset gaps.
  • AI-assisted development in practice — you actively use tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor and can demonstrate how precise problem specification leads to better outcomes — not just faster ones.
